Every industry stresses a filler differently.
Here is how our zinc sulfide, barium sulfate and masterbatch grades are matched to the problems technical buyers actually bring us.
- Automotive Coatings
- Rubber & Elastomers
- Color & Filler Masterbatch
- Modified Plastics
- Functional Films
- Coatings & Inks

- Pain: poor topcoat leveling, mar and equipment wear
- Hard, coarse extenders raise scratch sensitivity, abrade spray and dispersion equipment, and disrupt flow — so the topcoat neither levels nor holds its finish.
- Solution: ultrafine, narrow-distribution precipitated barium sulfate combined with low-hardness zinc sulfide (Mohs ~3). The soft, well-wetted particle reduces abrasion and agglomeration, giving smoother leveling, better mar resistance and a more stable spray line.

- Pain: reinforcement without abrasion or staining
- Rubber and TPE compounds need a white reinforcing filler that lifts hardness and modulus, yet many hard fillers wear mixing equipment and dull light-colored or transparent goods.
- Solution: fine precipitated barium sulfate (density ~4.3–4.5 g/cm³, chemically inert) as a non-staining, acid- and heat-resistant filler, paired where needed with soft zinc sulfide (Mohs ~3) for whiteness. It adds weight, filler loading and chemical resistance while staying gentle on mixers and molds.

- Pain: powder agglomeration and uneven dispersion
- Fine white powders clump inside the polymer melt, creating gels, color streaks, haze and weak points that show up on the finished part or film.
- Solution: pre-dispersed composite masterbatch that carries zinc sulfide or barium sulfate uniformly into your base resin. Compounded on 8 dedicated lines with carrier resin (PE / PP / PET / custom) matched to your process, so the pigment or filler disperses cleanly at your own extrusion or injection stage.

- Pain: abrasive fillers wear screws and molds
- Thermally-functional additives are often hard enough to erode screws, barrels and molds across a production run, driving up tooling cost and downtime.
- Solution: zinc sulfide as a non-abrasive, thermally-conductive white pigment — Mohs ~3 versus alumina ~9, with thermal conductivity near 27 W/(m·K). It delivers heat management and whiteness for modified and reinforced compounds without the equipment wear of hard mineral fillers.

- Pain: transparency, gloss and dispersion in thin gauges
- In thin films even a single agglomerate causes haze, fish-eyes and weak spots, while optical films must keep transparency or controlled gloss without sacrificing loading.
- Solution: sub-100 nm nano barium sulfate (FB series) with low refractive index for high-transparency and high-gloss film systems, delivered pre-dispersed via masterbatch so the particle stays uniform across the web.

- Pain: brightness, matt control and cost balance
- Coatings and inks must hit tight color and high brightness, manage gloss or matt, and stay weather-durable — all against constant raw-material cost pressure.
- Solution: precipitated and electronic-ink barium sulfate for matt control, extender economy and stable color, combined with blue-phase zinc sulfide whites for brightening, weather resistance and low UVA absorption in UV-curable systems.

We don't just sell powder — we fix formulations
Zinc sulfide is the most important inorganic white pigment after titanium dioxide and zinc oxide — but its real value to modern engineers lies in what it does not do. With a Mohs hardness of around 3, zinc sulfide carries heat almost as well as alumina while behaving gently on screws, barrels and molds. In practice, zinc sulfide sits between titanium dioxide and ordinary extenders — brighter and more functional than a filler, yet gentler and more thermally active than a high-hardness white. Combined with barium sulfate it forms lithopone, but supplied as a controlled single-component zinc sulfide it hands the formulator precise command over hardness, heat and tone.
Non-abrasive thermal management
Thermal conductivity near 27 W/(m·K) — comparable to alumina — yet a fraction of the hardness, so zinc sulfide adds heat dissipation without wearing out processing equipment.
Clean dispersion & rheology
Soft texture and excellent wetting let our zinc sulfide grades disperse evenly in polymer and coating systems, reducing agglomerates and surface defects.
Thermal stability & weather resistance
Zinc sulfide improves the thermal stability of engineering plastics and acts as a durable, weather-resistant white — also an environmentally friendly long-term fungicide.
Low UVA absorption
A blue-phase white with brightening effect and low UVA absorption, ideal for UV-curable coatings where cure efficiency matters.

Practical answers for bulk buyers
-
Can we get free samples for laboratory testing before bulk orders?Yes. We provide free samples of zinc sulfide, barium sulfate and masterbatch grades for your laboratory evaluation, with the relevant TDS and MSDS. We only ask that you share your application and target properties so we can recommend the right grade — and, where useful, a trial surface treatment — before you commit to a bulk order.
-
How do you guarantee particle-size distribution consistency between batches?Every batch of zinc sulfide and barium sulfate is produced on dedicated lines under an ISO 9001:2015 system and checked on laser particle-size analyzers and XRF spectrometers before release. We hold particle size, whiteness and purity to your agreed specification and keep the batch data on file, so the material you qualify is the material you keep receiving — shipment after shipment.
-
What is your standard lead time for a 20ft container of zinc sulfide? For standard zinc sulfide grades held in stock, a full 20ft container typically ships within about 7–15 working days of order confirmation. Custom grades, bespoke surface treatments or tailored masterbatch run longer because they are produced to your specification — we confirm an exact date with your order. Running five powder lines and eight masterbatch lines 7×24h lets us protect lead times even at volume.
-
Can you develop a custom grade or surface treatment for our system? That is our core strength. Our R&D team develops custom purity, particle size and coupling-agent or hydrophilic / hydrophobic surface treatments for demanding systems such as automotive topcoats and battery separators. Share your base resin, process window and performance target, and we will scope a grade — including custom additive masterbatch where pre-dispersion helps.
-
Do you support OEM / ODM and provide full export documentation?Yes. As an established manufacturer and exporter we support OEM and ODM arrangements and supply the documentation global buyers need — TDS, MSDS, REACH and RoHS compliance via SGS, certificates of analysis and standard export paperwork. Our team handles enquiries in English and ships worldwide from Yunfu, Guangdong.
-
Is your zinc sulfide a safe, regulatory-compliant white pigment?Yes. Our zinc sulfide is a stable inorganic white pigment (Pigment White 7, CAS 1314-98-3) produced under ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems, with REACH and RoHS compliance verified by SGS. It contains no lead or cadmium, and our barium-carbonate / sulfuric-acid route generates no harmful gases or water-soluble salt by-products. Full safety data and a certificate of analysis accompany every shipment so your EHS and procurement teams have the documentation they need.
